Epsilyte in Peru, IL is seeking an Electrician who wants to be an impactful member of the Maintenance Team. Normal work week is M-Th, 6a-4:30p (4x10's). This is a highly skilled, hourly position that plays an integral role in ensuring our equipment runs efficiently. This allows our facility to meet safety, quality and production goals. Electricians are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices, and the necessary experience to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment. Successful candidates will be expected to possess and refine multiple skills in both Electrical and Mechanical crafts. Position Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting all electrical and control systems
  • Repair and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of the following systems:
    • Low and medium voltage circuit breakers
    • Switchgears
    • Motor control centers
    • Transformers
    • Variable frequency drives
    • UPS systems
    • Electrical diagrams/loop systems/P&ID's
    • Conduit installation

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Electrician
  • Completion of an Instrument and/or Electrical technical training program or equivalent; or Journeyman electrician's license or equivalent
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant setting is preferred
  • Related work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferred

Other Considerations:

  • Competitive wage $39.51/hour, annual bonus, profit-sharing plus generous benefits
  • Must be able to work OT, weekends, on-call and holidays.
  • Physical requirements – Must be able to walk/stand/bend/stoop, raise and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders. Wearing personal protective equipment (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, heeled boots and hearing protection) including the use of a respirator is required. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team are critical for success
  • This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing rule or "TWIC" and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time
