Position Description - Yard Supervisor LVL 2

Overview

The Yard Supervisor LVL 2 is a high level position within the Yard Department. This position is assisted by the Yard Assistant and reports directly to the Yard Manager

Necessary Skills

Excellent Customer Service and People Skills

Excellent Yard Skills Forklifts, Trucks, Load Binding etc Excellent Product and Construction Knowledge

Good Mathematical and Organizational Skills

Ownership Mentality

Requirements

Able to lift 100 lbs unassisted

Able to stand and kneel for extended periods of time

Able to climb ladders and work from heights

Able to work in the elements year-round

Able to work various shifts based on business needs including but not

limited to nights and weekends

Customer Service Attire - Yard as defined by the Company Handbook

Responsibilities

Support the objectives of the Yard Department

Oversee Adherence to Departmental Process and Procedure

Lead by Example

Duties

Supervises Team Performance including but not limited to Monitoring,

Documenting, and Holding Accountability.

Manage the Customer Check-Out Process and Assists as Needed

Manage and Assists with the Order Pulling Process

Manage the Yard Receiving Process and Assists as Needed

Maintain Yard Facility Clean, Orderly and Neat

Maintain Product Clean, Well-Stocked and Organized

Manage Product Return, Rental, and Cull Procedures

Heavily Involved with Employee Training and Development
