Responsible for safe and efficient handling of baked products (Muffins, Scones, Cakes, Breads, Cookies, etc. ) and packaging of these products in appropriate Packaging. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for set up and pre-running of the equipment to ensure proper production start-up.
  • Responsible for the operation of different pieces of bakery equipment.
  • Responds positively with sense of urgency while meeting quality standards.
  • Monitor product to keep the weight within the specification and adjust the machine as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures continuous flow of product line, adjusts machines as needed to assure quality guidelines, weights and product specifications are met. Corrects problems as needed.
  • Performs minor repairs using hand tools according to direction from higher level position.
  • Visually inspect product mixing for quality deviations; notify Lead for quality deviation.
  • Control of line speeds, production rates, starting and stopping equipment, and overall product quality and safety.
  • Performs quality checks such as weight, temperature, and other parameters.
  • Operate and monitor high speed continuous production line including placing dough in pans/sheets and placing on moving conveyors.
  • Performs all product-handling activities (i.e., counting, packing, sealing, labelling, palletizing).
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED desired or equivalent years of experience in an automated or semi-automated packing environment preferred
  • Previous experience in a baking environment preferred
  • Ability to comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.
  • GMP/HACCP Certification (In-house).
  • Forklift certification helpful.

Shift: 2nd

Hourly Rate: $22.00

The final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs. For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
