HSE Trainer

Location: Lockport, LA

Position Overview: The HSE Trainer is responsible for conducting HSE inspections, recognizing hazards, performing HSE meetings, and providing safety training/orientation. The role includes maintaining the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste and managing air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct HSE inspections and recognize hazards.
• Perform HSE meetings to promote safety awareness and compliance.
• Provide safety training and orientation to employees.
• Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste materials.
• Manage air, water, and dredge permits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six (6) months of working experience in the HSE field.
• Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing setting; shipyard experience is a plus.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.).
• Oracle experience is a plus.

• Ability to conduct effective HSE meetings and training sessions.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
