Reports To: Maintenance Chief Engineer

Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Chief Engineer. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the

upkeep of the Resort accommodations and common areas through effective preventative maintenance practices

and by responding to maintenance work orders in a prompt and efficient manner.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Provides routine maintenance of units between departing and arriving guests to ensure a high

standard of quality is maintained.

• Participates in annual preventative maintenance program.

• Uses general maintenance equipment to include hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety

equipment.

• Demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC

systems and appliances.

• Utilizes customer service skills when responding to guest work orders and/or interacting with other

resort team members.

• Works under the direction of Chief Engineer to ensure all work is performed safely, properly and in a

timely manner.

• Responds to guest and vendor-generated work orders promptly and efficiently.

• Completes company-required training and ensures ongoing compliance.

• Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not

limited to, those contained in the Team Member Handbook.

• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Managerial Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Experience:

The responsibilities listed above are representative of the knowledge and experience desired.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.

• In depth knowledge of general maintenance procedures

• Must possess problem-solving skills and be able to effectively prioritize tasks.

• Certification in HVAC or other is highly desirable.

Education:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or

training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Flexible Scheduling:

Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch. It is

required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes, and weight. The

team member will occasionally be required to climb a ladder or balance and, to talk, to hear and /or smell. Must

regularly push, pull, lift and /or move 10-25 lbs., and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds

with assistance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus on various settings.

Team members will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, might be frequently exposed to fumes or

airborne particles. Occasionally, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high,

precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate to loud.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and

must adhere to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures Standards of Appearance.

The high ethical standards of Daily Management, Inc. must be upheld by all members of the management team.
