Key Responsibilities:- Represent insurance companies in a variety of defense litigation matters, including personal injury, property damage, and general liability claims.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing discovery, and presenting in court.
- Attend mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct legal research, and prepare memoranda to advise clients on potential exposure and liability.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters, clients, and experts to evaluate and resolve cases.
- Develop case strategies and assess the risks of litigation, trial, or settlement.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and maintain high levels of professionalism in client interactions.
- Provide periodic case status updates and evaluations to clients.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Florida Bar.
- 2-5 years of experience in insurance defense or civil litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Florida’s insurance laws, civil procedure, and case law.
- Proven experience managing a caseload from inception to resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
