SUPERVISOR:  Fleet & Facilities Director 

STATUS: Part-time, Contract

POSITION SUMMARY 

Under general supervision from the Fleet & Facilities Director, the Janitor will be responsible for ensuring BGCGA’s facilities are maintained in such a manner as to support operations in the most efficient way possible. This position will work onsite at our clubhouse in Thomson, Georgia. 

KEY ROLES & ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of BGCGA facility. Conducts spot check inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are up to date, all sprinkle systems are inspected, and playgrounds are in compliance. 
  • Ensures that the building is thoroughly cleaned and refreshed every day to ensure it is ready for tours. This includes daily cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, classrooms, gym, and lobby/atrium areas. 
  • Ensures preventive maintenance actions are conducted per schedule and monitor post repair performance. 
  • Manages the inventory of facilities, in coordination with the Fleet & Facilities Director to ensure an adequate supply of parts & equipment. 
  • Works with Safety Culture software and app to complete work orders as assigned by Fleet & Facilities Director and priorities. 
  • Completes repairs at BGCGA building as needed. 
  • Considered an essential employee. When there is inclement weather, responsible for ensuring all grounds are cleared, salted and safe for staff to return to work. 
  • Performs preventive maintenance that are scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • 2+ years facility maintenance experience 
  • Must be able to work mornings 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required. 
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to details 

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS 

Occasional weekend hours may be required to accomplish objectives. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing more than 25lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
