We currently have an opportunity for a Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Kalispell, MT.

 

Key Functions

  • Fabricate and/or repair construction equipment, trailers and metal structures
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to understand the project requirements
  • Measuring and cutting metal components to specified dimensions using hand tools, plasma cutters, and metal cutting machines
  • Use different welding techniques like MIG, TIG and stick welding
  • Setting up, maintaining and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Inspecting and testing welds and ensuring that they meet design requirements, safety standards and structural reliability
  • Ensuring work is done in compliance with relevant codes
  • Conduct maintenance on welding equipment to ensure functionality
  • Collaborate with team members, other shop personnel and supervisors to achieve project goals in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum three (3) years of welding/fabrication experience required
  • Welding certification(s) or other related education strongly preferred
  • Experience in Construction is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and 25 lbs. regularly
  • Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement
  • Sit and/or stand up for long periods of time
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
  • Climb ladders/steps
  • Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and vibrations

 

Compensation

  • Hourly rate of pay based on experience
  • Medical Insurance
    • Year 1 – Employer covers 80% of total (family) premiums
    • Years 2 & 3 – Employer covers 90% of total (family) premiums
    • Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of total (family) premiums
