Shift: 3rd Shift (11 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.)

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to oversee all aspects of the injection molding process. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in injection molding, with a focus on process monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining quality parts. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our molding operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Cold Starts: Proficiently perform cold starts of molding tools to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  2. Process Verifications: Conduct daily process verifications and part quality checks to maintain high production standards.
  3. Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the injection molding process promptly and effectively.
  4. Equipment Operation: Start, stop, and adjust equipment as necessary to meet production requirements.
  5. Maintenance: Follow maintenance schedules diligently, replace machine parts (e.g., heater bands, nozzle tips, screws) as needed, and perform minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
  6. Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to maintain comprehensive records of production activities.
  7. Training and Break Relief: Assist with training new personnel and provide break relief as needed to ensure a skilled and cohesive team.
  8. Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized working environment by regularly cleaning and organizing production lines.
  9. Compliance: Adhere to all Orotex policies and safety rules to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
  10. Flexibility: Be willing to work overtime as necessary to meet production demands.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-Oriented: Possess a keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand spoken and written English for effective communication in the workplace.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as required to meet production goals.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with injection molding processes, process monitoring, and quality control. Knowledge of molded materials, especially nylon 66 and polypropylene, is preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. A training certificate or a 2-year degree in a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk for 8 plus hours daily.
  • Proficient use of hands, wrists, and arms with continual motion.
  • Capability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects.
  • Ability to lift 50-plus pounds repeatedly.
