Position Summary

Exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Palatka facility. Reporting to the Sr Production Manager, this role ensures safe and efficient operations in designated areas. Seeking a dynamic, motivated leader with a focus on execution, problem-solving, and team motivation.

We do have positions open on 1st & 2nd Shift

1st shift

5am-4:30pm M-TH

5am-2:30pm F

2nd shift

4:30pm-4:30am M-TH

2:30pm-9:30pm F

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • • Supervises assigned areas/departments within the facility. This includes all work performed in assigned area for all shifts.
    • Assists the Production Manager in identifying current status, planning and assigning work and securing resources and tools for the successful operation of the assigned area.
    • Performs detailed reviews of fabrication drawings and execution plans to ensure can be executed in accordance with customer expectations.
    • Assists in the creation and controls of fabrication plans. Works closely with the Production Scheduler to ensure all processes identified exist both in the Fabrication Plans and Planning Assistant.
    • Actively participates in and takes a leading role in Focus Room meetings.
    • Utilizes GEMBA Academy to be knowledgeable of 5S, GEMBA, KAIZEN and Practical Problem Solving to successfully manage assigned areas. Utilizes available tools and systems to apply lean principles to work area. Continuous improvement minded.
    • Works with HR to ensure a firm understanding of company policies, communicates to teams clearly and leads by example.
    • Effectively plans work and manages labor to ensure efficient execution.
    • Executes schedule with a sense of urgency and with sincere concern for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
    • Maintains documentation on all projects for assigned areas.
    • Clarifies responsibility and expected results from supervisor and to all assigned employees.
    • Responsible for coaching and the overall performance of assigned leads. Actively participates in the recruiting, selecting, training and coaching leads for assigned areas.
    • Gives adequate direction, effectively supervises, counsels employees on performance issues or concerns, aids and/or trains when appropriate. When necessary, initiates disciplinary action. Works with Human Resources to resolve problems as needed.
    • Communicates with employees regularly and seeks their input on issues regarding problem solving
    • Works closely with Quality on RCCA to create the best solution to identified problems.

SAFETY
• Actively participates in the safety program for the facility.
• Observes, reports and corrects behaviors that are unsafe.
• Works with the facility leadership to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensures EHS policies and guidelines are met within the department.
• Coaches, trains, communicates and monitors employees’ performance on safety programs.
