Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionPipeworks Studios is looking for an IT Engineer to join our team in Eugene, OR Our ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and server architecture, firewall and network management/deployment, and enjoys solving complex problems in resourceful ways.

Day to DayResponsibilities
  • Maintain routines to ensure the operation of the network, shared servers, and associated hardware
  • Install and configure server systems, network devices, and services
  • Administer permissions to approved users and manage access rights across company systems
  • Apply software updates and patches when necessary
  • Interact with co-workers across disciplines, external clients, and contractors to assist in the use of technology
  • Help determine and develop new tools/routines for the IT team to increase efficiency and security
  • Maintain system backups for all infrastructure systems
  • Document and enforce system requirements and standards


Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMust Haves
  • Strong knowledge of MS Operating Systems, network infrastructure, firewalls
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct research and stay up to date on current systems and threats
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a team
  • Organizational and data management skills

Demonstrated Ability To
  • Make quality decisions within a team or individually to maintain operation and security of various systems, networks, and servers
  • Work professionally with fellow team members, co-workers, and clients
  • Prioritize workload and multiple projects/tasks
  • Use ticketing system and maintain documentation on completed and future tasks

Education and Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
