Key Responsibilities
- Prepare drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of engineers, designers and technicians
- Create structural models and drawings in MicroStation from engineering sketches and verbal description
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CAD-related AS Degree (preferred), or equivalent work experience as structural CAD Technician (building information modeling)
- Proficiency with MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
- Ability to think creatively and visualize in 3D
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently as necessary for a wide variety of projects
- Possess analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects at a time
- Ability to learn, listen, adapt, and take ownership of work
- Attention to detail, self-directed learning, and meeting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and production staff
