We are currently seeking an experienced commercial Refrigeration Technician to our Service Division. Our Technicians work with our commercial and industrial customer facilities, performing preventative maintenance services, troubleshooting and making repairs, as well as equipment replacement and fit-out work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain various medium and low temp commercial refrigeration systems; Perform tasks relating to various systems, including the ability to solder and braze copper pipe and dissimilar metals and work with live voltages up to 600 volts.
  • Possess the ability to use trade tools efficiently and work as needed in confined spaces or heights
  • Evaluate situations and take the proper corrective actions and act as a trusted advisor to recommend appropriate repairs and upgrades to our customer
  • Maintain appropriate communication, feedback, and follow up with customers, fellow technicians, account managers, service coordinators and field supervisors
  • Maintain clean organized and mechanically sound company provided service vehicle
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment and systems with EPA Universal certification or the ability to obtain upon hire
  • Strong understanding of proper refrigerant practices, electrical schematics and control circuit troubleshooting
  • Experience with HVAC or hydronics would be a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Must provide own basic hand tools
  • Valid PA driver's license, clean driving record and the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screenings
