Job Description: On-Site Resident Assistant

PEG Property Group is a growing company headquartered in beautiful Provo, Utah. We specialize in the management of multi-family, student and commercial properties. This is a part-time position that is responsible for successful resident engagement, customer service, and retention in their assigned communities.

Required Skills and Experience: To be considered for this position, candidates must be enrolled at the University, live on-site, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to always act professionally and as a strong role model for residents.
  • Personable, friendly, and outgoing personality
  • Effective communication and listening skills to interact with students.
  • Ability to maintain a calming presence in case of emergency events to direct and assist residents safely.
  • Good organization and planning skills

  • Property social media, reputation management and satisfaction ratings
  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, codes, etc.

Resident Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

The position requires the following:

  • Listening to any concerns or issues students may have and communicating these to leadership or administration.
  • Preparing for and participating in students first week on property, including creating activities to engage students, checking them into the apartment and familiarizing the student with the property’s amenities.
  • Helping students stay informed about property activities will encourage student engagement and create an exceptional student experience.
  • Addressing any concerns students may have with other residents and acting as a moderator to solve any problems while staying in compliance with fair housing laws.
  • Staying up-to-date with the community guidelines to ensure students are always following them.
  • Participate in scheduling and planning monthly resident activities.
  • Post to social media platforms a minimum of 3 times a week to increase engagement with residents.
  • Participate in prepping for move-ins and move outs in August, longer hours are expected.
