In the spring of 2024, the Packed lunch program was piloted at a private school in Lexington. By the end of the pilot, Packed was serving over half of eligible students every week. Role SummaryAs a Kitchen Team Member, you will prepare, package, label, and assist in the delivery of exceptional food to school children throughout Lexington. You will work closely with the Kitchen Operations Manager and the rest of the kitchen team to ensure Packed finished products are high quality, accurate, and prepared in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
Specifics of the role include the following:
- Prepares food neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Demonstrates an understanding of menu items and an ability to read prep sheets and translate into appropriate actions
- Adherence to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices while preparing food and cleaning
- Various stocking, organizing, and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen space
- Performs light paperwork and/or other assigned duties
