Vesta Hospitality is looking for a talented individual to help fill the role of Overnight Security for its new AC by Marriott Hotel at the Vancouver waterfront. Must have Washington State Security Certification. 

The 150-room AC by Marriott Hotel opened in June 2022, featuring 7,000 sq ft of event space (all with river view), restaurant and lounge with outdoor seating, and spectacular views of the Columbia River.

Duties

- Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the safety and security of premises.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Conduct regular surveillance of premises using CCTV cameras and other security equipment.

- Ability to evaluate situations and request assistance from local authorities when needed.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington security certificate/license
- First aid/CPR certification preferred
- Prior experience in loss prevention, surveillance, law enforcement, or military is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
