PETADATA is currently hiring for the position of ETL Tester for one of their clients.

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester to ensure the quality and integrity of our data warehouse and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases and data quality for ETL processes.

• Validate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Develop and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and quality.

• Utilize Python scripts for automation and testing purposes.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to understand data requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.

• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, and work with the development team for resolution.

• Perform data validation and reconciliation across different data sources.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.

• Generate and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.

• Proven experience in ETL testing and data validation.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis

• Solid experience in Python programming, particularly for automation tasks.

• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  

Educational Qualification:Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
