The Safety Technician is dedicated to empowering our clients by streamlining safe work practices and making them more efficient. This role will incorporate professional development opportunities that enable broad exposure to various industries, while providing prompt assistance and support to clients in times of incidents or emergencies. By proactively conducting essential safety services, this role contributes directly to safe working environments for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Client Services

    • Cultivate and foster a strong rapport with a diverse set of clients in various industries.

    • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.

    • Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards.

    • Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess Client’s compliance with safety regulations.

    • Conduct other periodic safety services including industrial hygiene testing, audiometric testing, drug screen collections, etc.

    • Inspect Clients’ safety equipment.

  • Client Data Collection

    • Collect and enter data into proprietary software for program analysis.

    • Document Client audit and incident trends, training compliance records, etc.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong aptitude for delivering comprehensible training sessions.

  • Superb interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening.

  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to keep information confidential.

  • Ability to work independently.

Education, Experience, and CertificationsRequired

  • 0-5+ years of experience in the safety industry

  • High School Diploma or higher

  • Knowledge of safety, transportation, and/or environmental standards

  • Experience in coaching, teaching, or training

Preferred

  • OSHA 510

  • OSHA 500

  • CHST, OHST, SMS
