Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Davison, MI

Mersino is an established, but growing competitor in the construction dewatering and pumping industry. Founded in 1988, we pursue those projects requiring a high level of expertise and professionalism, throughout the country. Mersino is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team The Inventory Control Specialist will manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensure optimal stock levels, and support efficient inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring accurate records of all inventory transactions.
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast future inventory needs, and provide recommendations for inventory management improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of product information, including quantities, locations, and status updates.
  • Prepare and distribute regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and potential issues.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, working with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management software and tools.
  • Provide training and support to staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
