Manage and control the system configuration manager mainly for DES organizations. Use SCCM to help the DES enterprise to use the resources to produce an effective outcome. Maintain the system windows and viability of underlying systems. Update the system versions and utilize the patches. Help build the new system, keeping the security, and usability of devices at their level best. As an SCCM administrator, the main role is to look into a complete overview of the system that you are working on and make sure that all the system devices are working smoothly.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related technical field and 10 years of experience.
  • 2-5 years Windows administration
  • 3-5 years of experience with SCCM technology, preferably current branch
  • Security+ Certification required
  • Experience working with DISA or other DOD agencies highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop implementation strategies and deployment schedules in concert with those impacted and competently work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Validate deployment plans for compliance with existing performance limitations of the enterprise server's software
  • Provide monthly reporting of patching activity
  • Maintain the health of the SCCM environment including clients, servers and distribution points
  • Create and edit scripts for issues ranging from software installation to system configuration
  • Create and maintain installation and configuration documentation
  • Maintain SCCM database
  • Patch clients
  • Run queries and reports against SCCM database for software and hardware inventory, running them and kicking them out to a CSV files
  • Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software
  • Supports and administers the critical services provided by the Information Technology Management section
  • Microsoft Systems Center Suite, particularly SCCM
  • Manages system performance metrics that includes monitoring and reporting on processes, uptime, performance, utilization and capacity of SCCM server equipment
  • Creation and management of SCCM Reports

  • Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong team and individual player
  • Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
  • High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
  • Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
  • Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues
Technical Knowledge:
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Solid background with SQL queries
  • A consultative/advisory mindset with the ability to design
  • Experience in troubleshooting application issues in virtualized environment
  • Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Request Management
  • Collaboration with the team in implementing new technology initiatives, standards major changes or upgrades to production environments
  • Should be able to manage escalations, should be able to escalate at required situations
Clearance/Citizenship:
  • Secret Clearance
  • Must be US Citizen

Travel Requirements:

This position may involve 25% travel
