Job Summary:
We are seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to join our team. The EVS Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within our facility. This role involves cleaning and disinfecting various areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and offices, to ensure a sanitary environment for all occupants.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and safety.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to established schedules and complete tasks within specified timeframes.
