Duration: 3 Months

Job Description:

We are searching for a qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our Baltimore Cent Book Intake facility (M). This role is part of our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) and plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients seeking medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients seeking admission to the OTP program.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of withdrawal and other medical conditions.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders and ensure medication adherence.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on medication use, healthy lifestyle choices, and relapse prevention.
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
  • Corrections experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a substance abuse treatment program is a strong plus.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Experience with escalated compliance procedures preferred.
