Custodian (Part-time)

Blackwell is currently seeking a Custodian to work out of the Fairfax, VA area. The position is located at Joint Base Andrews.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-8:00pm

Job Description: Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• ENTRANCE COMMON AREAS/ VISITOR CONTROL/OFFICE AREAS
  • Trash or other refuse removed and liners replaced
  • Vacuum of all carpets and mats
  • Mop/Swept all hard floors
  • Dust all horizontal surfaces of desks, chairs, tables and other furniture
  • Drinking fountain cleaning
  • Remove fingerprints and marks from around light switches and door frames]
  • VCT/Hard Flooring polish
  • Spot clean all glass
  • Spot clean walls and painted surface
    
  • Spot clean all return air grills in corridor, office and restroom areas
  • Ensure all areas are clean & arranged in a tidy fashion prior to leaving

• TOILET & BATHROOM AREAS
  • Empty trash bins and wipe if needed and replace bin liners as required
  • Clean and polish mirrors
  • Wipe hand towel cabinet covers
  • Wipe down door sills - remove all dust
  • Toilets and urinals to be cleaned and disinfected on both sides and disinfected/sanitized and wiped dry
  • Clean and sanitize all basins. Polish all bright work to basins
  • Dust partitions, tops of mirrors and frames
  • Remove splash marks from walls around basin

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Less than a High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Must possess a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
