Unicity Homecare is currently seeking a Director of Nursing to join our team in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our nursing department and ensuring the delivery of quality care to our patients. This is a vital leadership role within our organization, requiring strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and ensure high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to improve patient outcomes and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assess staffing needs and make appropriate adjustments to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Stay updated on advances in nursing practices, technologies, and regulations, and implement changes as necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and standards
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive work environment
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
