Job DescriptionJob Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions.
  • Inspect paperwork and loads for inbound and outbound trucks to assure accurate information is recorded and entered into the computer.
  • Direct trucks and material to proper loading and unloading locations on site and off site.
  • Maintain a cash draw and reconcile at end of shift.
  • Complete daily reports, maintain logs and spreadsheets as assigned.
  • Provide professional customer service in person, by email and telephone.
  • Assist with other tasks when assigned including data entry or general office work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The weighmaster position requires basic computer and match skills and to be familiar with proper email and telephone etiquette.
  • Communication skills to be able to professionally communicate with a wide range of customers, vendors and co-workers. 
  • Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be able to climb stairs daily.
  • Observe and follow all safety and non-safety principles, policies and practices.
  • Must be able to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Must be able to work well with coworkers and customers
  • Valid driver’s license and high school GED or equivalent are desirable, but not required
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Must be able to report to work at scheduled start time.  This position’s assigned hours could vary during the hours the facility is open.
  • Must be able to work a weekend schedule.
