POSITION TITLE: General Manager
DEPARTMENT: All
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Owner
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To lead, manage, and oversee all tasks related to the selling of bus parts, with a focus on directing the staff.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Lead and direct the business with integrity and confidence. Strong ability to have clear and
consistent communication with all depts., a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, organization skills,
and a willingness to sacrifice for others. Attendance at and leading weekly/monthly meetings is expected.
2. Manage all employees and develop positive working relationships with them. This will require a
proficient knowledge of duties being overseen and a willingness to perform those duties when required.
Experience and the ability to conduct 60 day reviews, informal quarterly assessments, annual performance
reviews, and dealing with any other performance issues is essential.
3. Supervise and implement processes needed for the sale of bus parts while constantly finding ways to
improve those processes. This will include the oversight of a training program/schedule for
each process/procedure.
4. Manage all sources of revenue with special attention paid to future sales growth and marketing strategies.
This will be done by enhancing relationships with customers, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
5. Maintain the annual budget for all departments while seeking to improve and increase profits while striving
for the reduction of unnecessary expenses. Close collaboration with the Finance Manager
and consistent monitoring of P&L statements is an integral aspect of the position.
6. Uphold the companys core values while maintaining a safe, positive, and enjoyable work culture for
all employees.
7. Administer and maintain proper business regulations and requirements such as: OSHA standards;
DOT regulations; and EPA standards.
8. Perform other tasks that require decisive decision making and do your best to take care of problems as
they arise.
9. Suggest improved methods and practices for the business operations when experience and
common-sense dictates.
