Saline Lectronics (an Emerald Technologies company) has an exciting opportunity for a  Documentation Specialist to join its Quality team The Documentation Specialist assists Engineering and Documentation Team members in creating and maintaining customer and Saline Lectronics engineering/manufacturing documents (work instructions, test procedures, component specifications, Bill of Materials (BoMs), part and assembly drawings, etc.) and other related technical records; includes proper filing and archiving of electronic files.

Responsibilities of the Documentation Specialist:

  • Responsible for controlling and processing Customer and internal documentation within Saline Lectronics; which includes but is not limited to processing Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Deviations, and Process Change Notices (PCN). Creation and proper filing and archiving of electronic files.
  • Change specification records (BoM's, Labor Router’s, AMPL, Revision Levels, etc.) as required by Customer or Saline Lectronics.
  • Create new product files in Saline Lectronics “Made to Manage” ERP software system using established ECN and New Product Introduction procedures.
  • Researches, gathers, and communicates information/specifications, as required, by and from, other departments having to do with products, part numbers, standards, drawing numbers, etc.
  • Assists in the research of Customer, component, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Issues and loads all new part numbers.
  • Works closely with the Saline Lectronics Management Team to ensure that current engineering documentation is available for purchasing and production (drawings, schematics, BOM's, etc.).

Qualifications of the Documentation Specialist:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret a variety of engineering documents such as specifications, component data sheets, assembly drawings, ECO’s and PCR’s
  • Familiar with electronic components
  • Familiar with manufacturing documentation processes including BOM’s, AVL, Part numbering and MRP systems
  • Strong Communication Skills – including the ability to interact with engineering and other operations departments
