FT - 72 hours per pay

Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates day-to-day operations of the Occupational Health clinic.
  • Assists the licensed personnel by performing appropriate/assigned patient care and testing activities.
  • Responsible for performing the clerical and receptionist functions of the department.
  • Responsible for implementing appropriate charge capture procedures ensuring patient account information is accurately entered into SYSTOC for employer billing and maintaining appropriate controls over cash receipt functions.
  • Performs and provides oversight to registration practices, patient scheduling, customer service programs, and the workflow of the department day to day.
  • Maintains employee health records, and enters employee information into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
Requirements
  • Basic clinical skills and clerical skills.
  • Requires valid Ohio Driver’s license for travel to off-site locations.
  • Computer literate with good keyboarding skills along with familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Required to obtain and maintain successful completion of certifications as follows: Certified Breath Alcohol Trainer (BAT) and drug screen collection procedures.
  • If requested, complete NIOSH-approved spirometry and fit testing training and certification in Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC).
Education/Certifications
  • Associate degree in healthcare-related field or graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of one year experience in an appropriate health care setting such as physician's office, hospital, or clinic.
  • Preferred, three or more years of experience in an appropriate health care setting such as physician's office, hospital, or clinic.
