Gardening Technician Summary

As a Gardening Technician, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of gardens, ensuring they remain vibrant, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate has a wealth of horticulture knowledge, pays meticulous attention to details, and has a passion for transforming outdoor spaces through expert gardening practices.


Key Responsibilities for the Gardening Technician

  • Deliver high-end customer service to all clients
  • Keep all trailers and vehicles clean and organized
  • Perform regular garden maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing, to maintain the health and appearance of plants.
  • Identify and address pest and disease issues, implementing appropriate treatments to ensure plant well-being.
  • Collaborate with landscape designers and clients to understand garden design plans and specific plant requirements.
  • Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to meet the watering needs of different plant varieties.
  • Keep accurate records of gardening activities, including plant care, fertilization schedules, and pest control measures.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide recommendations for plant selections based on site conditions, client preferences, and seasonal considerations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the seamless execution of garden projects.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plants, horticultural practices, and gardening techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and implement garden design plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality gardens.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, lifting, planting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions for an extended period of time.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record preferred.
