In this role, you will:

  • Initiate outbound and receive inbound borrower phone calls
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers to prevent mortgage delinquency
  • Follow up with borrowers on returned payments
  • Meet the borrowers' needs while providing education and counseling as necessary
  • Administer early stage account collections
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Speak professionally and pass QA compliance telephone audits regularly
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDCPA, RESPA, and FCRA
  • Review borrowers for home retention programs based on loan type
  • Schedule property inspections and assess property condition
  • Resolve delinquency through collection efforts and borrower assistance programs
  • Raise borrower awareness of the advantages of early retention options in delinquency
Requirements:
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills to prioritize efforts and maximize individual results
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in residential real estate lending, loan processing, loan closing, or loan servicing (or a combination of education and experience in related fields)
