Advanced Oral Surgery & Periodontics newest location in Minnetonka is continuing to grow We are looking to add an outgoing individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care to our team. We are looking for a fun, hardworking team player to help us grow the practice and continue to serve the Minnetonka and surrounding communities with all their periodontal needs.

The primary role of the Hygienist is to support the success of the periodontist to provide exceptional patient care resulting in the best clinical outcomes and meets the needs of our patients. Hygienists provide direct care to their patients by helping them to maintain oral health AND you get the opportunity to participate in periodontal surgical treatment You will learn a unique set of skills that allow you to contribute as a high level surgical assistant and/or as a diagnostic technician enhanced by your hygiene background and experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient records and surgical narratives as necessary, maintaining confidentiality of all information in compliance with HIPAA.

  • Prepare, administer, and record medications/anesthetic according to all applicable regulations.

  • Assemble materials and equipment in preparation for surgery and maintain adequate supplies.

  • Clean and maintain clinical equipment and dispose of used supplies correctly.

  • Perform patient intake (including taking diagnostic x-rays and completing periodontal charting).

  • Complete periodontal procedures as diagnosed and treatment planned by periodontist.

  • Provide post operative care instructions as necessary both in person and over the phone.

  • Other duties as directed.
