SUMMARY

The Promotions Coordinator position is responsible for executing gaming promotions, cultivating player development, and providing exceptional guest service by creating a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment for all Ellis Park patrons, as outlined below, in accordance with Ellis Park Racing & Gaming (the “Company”) policies and procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional guest service to support player development and guest relationships.
  • Genuinely interact with guests to build relationships and loyalty. This includes learning their names and preferences, making individual and professional connections, and greeting guests with a smile and eye contact.
  • Identify opportunities to increase play and resolve guest issues through service recovery.
  • Leverage promotional kiosks, Super-Play Mate, and MGT software to aid in player development.
  • Promote the Players Club program by encouraging new card sign-ups and ensuring active participation from enrolled members.
  • Promote responsible gaming for all Ellis Park patrons.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator for gaming promotions and events.
  • Prepare and execute gaming promotions while creating an exciting and engaging atmosphere for guests.
  • Prepare, execute, and maintain Players Club continuity giveaways.
  • Announce, present, and execute promotional events, creating a high-energy atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of all HHR machines to better assist guests with questions on how to play.
  • Serve as a VIP host to all guests with a high rate of play.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance, including working odd and unusual hours, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
  • Maintain courteous, positive, professional working relationships with all Ellis Entertainment team members.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of services, amenities, and surroundings (i.e., gift shop, restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous guest service experience in hospitality or related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be detail-oriented, professional, and have strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Utilize all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, player development software.
  • Interpret and execute various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
  • Resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
  • With reasonable accommodations, able to be physically mobile. This includes the ability to stand/walk 90% of the time, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
