WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The Project Manager role acts as an entry-level position in project management. In this role, you will actively participate in the project design and production phases, gradually acquiring experience in project and client management under the guidance of Senior Leaders. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of assigned project tasks. Additionally, you will start to take on some staff management responsibilities, which involve assisting the Sr. PM in overseeing technical staff and managing resource scheduling. You will also contribute to proposal preparation and billing processes.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Assist with the execution of project tasks such as permitting and entitlement processes
  • Ensure project tasks remain accurate and on schedule
  • Assist with the project financial processes
  • Assisting in preparation of proposals
  • Limited client interaction
  • Assisting with overseeing the technical staff
  • Assist with resource scheduling for technical staff on your team
  • Other duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Civil 3D, Microstation, or discipline specific software
  • Proficient in Dunaway CAD standards
  • Proficient in Dunaway design standards

SKILLS:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of line of business
  • Basic understanding of project financial and performance metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks at a time
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to recognize what your limitations are
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 total years of experience
  • Generally 5 or more years of civil design experience
  • Generally 1 or more year of experience as a P.E. or 8 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
  • 0-2 years project management experience required
  • 0-2 years client interaction experience required
  • 0-2 years of experience in oversight of technical staff

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or 8 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
