Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Athens, GA

Position Overview: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance & Repair:

    • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery, including motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete repairs quickly and accurately.

  2. Equipment Upgrades:

    • Assist with equipment modifications and upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.
    • Work with the engineering team to implement new machinery and systems.

  3. Documentation & Reporting:

    • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs and parts used.
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment and repair history for future reference.

  4. Safety Compliance:

    • Follow safety protocols and ensure equipment is operating within safety standards.
    • Conduct safety inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
