About the Position
Under supervision, you will manufacture parts using our documented quality management system that conforms to the requirements of our customers’ expectations and requirements; and delivery of product that reflect continuously improved quality, service and reliability to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Hand and machine winding of transformers using (but not limited to): air coils, rods, bobbins, and toroidal coils.
- Winding of prototype samples, bobbin, toroidal, or otherwise.
- Terminating or attaching leads/terminals to parts and assembling product.
- Encapsulation, marking, and finishing operations as required per the PE drawings.
- Prepare & set-up equipment for assemblers. Assess areas where bottlenecks are preventing good line balancing and help stabilize the flow and keep products moving through the process.
- Assist in the training of all new / existing assemblers on company manufacturing and test methods, Workmanship Standards.
- Maintain a professional work ethic, clean work area, and safe work practices and 5S requirements.
- Assist the Department Manager with weekly shipments schedule, review, filing of all documentation, maintaining the integrity of all paperwork.
- Assist the Department Manager in the upkeep of all lab tools and equipment, and the proper storage of all materials (5S).
- Perform other duties as outlined by direct supervisor.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, previous winding experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Some basic test knowledge using equipment. Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. Must be able to work independently and productively. Good hand coordination and vision required. Positive attitude, punctuality and flexibility are required to drive success.
