We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support our organization.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on manufacturing

equipment and supporting all aspects of the Company’s production maintenance activities.

Communicates issues affecting maintenance work scheduling and completion. Responsible for food

handling in accordance with food safety protocols based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points

(HACCP) plans.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production

machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels.

Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fluid handling systems.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple jobs effectively and efficiently, and to handle detailed and broad

range projects.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and is detail oriented.
  • Install and modify production equipment and machinery.
  • Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance

procedures for all equipment and processes.

  • Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance and purchases.
  • Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 60 pounds.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in

temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, food allergens and gas.

  • Must be able to work in the heat/steam and cold environment and perform manual labor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of

machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, internet explorer) required.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross

functional teams including quality, operations and production.
