Job Description:

As an API Developer for Counsel Link, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing API integrations to connect Counsel Link with other applications and systems. Your expertise in API development and ELM systems will be critical in ensuring seamless data exchange and enhancing the functionality of our client’s legal technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. API Development and Integration:
  • Design and develop API integrations to connect Counsel Link with other applications/systems.
  • Ensure APIs are robust, secure, and scalable to handle large volumes of data.
System Analysis and Design:
  • Analyze existing systems and Counsel Link to identify integration requirements and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements.
Development:
  • Develop API integration using robust methodologies.
Implementation and Testing:
  • Implement API integrations and conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Documentation and Support:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for API integrations, including technical specifications and user guides.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for API integrations, addressing any issues or updates as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal operations, and users, to ensure successful integration and deployment.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in API development and integration, preferably with ELM systems.
  • Strong understanding of Counsel Link and other ELM systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
