Introduction

We are looking for a full-time Manufacturing Engineer to add to our team The position entails a comprehensive range of responsibilities focused on optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring the production of high-quality products. This includes determining processing requirements for cost-effective product outcomes, creating and supporting documentation efforts for process development and continual improvements, and conducting dimensional inspections to maintain quality standards. Additionally, the role involves reviewing drawings for accuracy, developing manufacturing blueprints and supporting documents, and designing tools and fixtures for process standardization. The individual will also be responsible for managing projects and overseeing the design transfer process from prototyping to production, while consistently striving to meet engineering objectives, contain costs, and drive process improvements through root cause analysis and data evaluation.

About the Accountant Role

  • Determine Processing Requirements to produce cost effective conforming product.
  • Create, edit, and support documentation efforts for process development and continual improvements (i.e. Work Instructions, PFMEAs Process Flow, etc.) as needed.
  • Create, edit, and support quality on dimensional inspections.
  • Determine, document methodology for inspection specifications for setting up inspections, to include but not limited to, gage designs and prints, etc.
  • Receives requests from staff and reviews drawings for accuracy prior to release to the floor, including but not limited to, creating/updating Lenkbar blank and in process prints.
  • Evaluates data to identify deviation from specifications to communicate to management.
  • Develop manufacturing blueprints, routers, BOMs, and other supporting documents.
  • Create validation protocols based on Master Validation Plan and customer specific procedures execute approved validations protocols and create validation summary reports.
  • Support production flow of prototypes, verification runs, etc. Support initial production runs and support Design For Manufacturability reviews for customer feedback.
  • Design and develop tools, fixtures for standardization of processes for improved manufacturability and throughput.
  • Review and conduct root cause analysis on deviations that were identified during validation activities and resolve the deviated condition or justify why the deviation is acceptable.
  • Understand and work toward Engineering objectives, cost containment, process development, root cause analysis, data analysis, etc.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
  • Manage projects and flow of the design transfer process through prototyping and into production including but not limited to reporting status, timeline development, etc.

All other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Production Planning and Materials Coordination experience including: demand capacity analysis, production planning, purchasing, expediting, and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Experience in an ISO & FDA environment preferred
  • Experience in MRP systems, with preference for experience with Made to Manage (current ERP)
  • Superior communication skills both verbally and written
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission
  • Inventory management, including ERP inventory control, cycle counting, and reconciliation
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced spreadsheet creation and manipulation
  • Organized and prompt, both with scheduled needs and response to issues
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of blue prints
