General Overview:

The Plant Manager is responsible for managing and directing the bottling facility toward the attainment of established objectives and goals. Overall responsible for the Safety, Quality and Operations of the plant.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads safety efforts at the location.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability.
  • Understands, endorses, teaches and enforces the Premium Waters mission, philosophy, policies and procedures.
  • Promotes the organization, plans, programs and achievements to the public and employees at all times.
  • Develops, gains approval of and implements plans, objectives and goals for his/her area of responsibility.
  • Develops, gains approval of and implements budgets for his/her area of responsibility.
  • Hires, orients, trains and develops personnel in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Reviews and evaluates the performance of personnel on a timely basis and initiates pay changes.
  • Supervises, directs and motivates the efforts of personnel in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Identifies the need for disciplinary action, initiates appropriate discipline and follows through accordingly.
  • Develops, implements and monitors systems for purchasing the right materials at the right price and the right time.
  • Develops implements and monitors systems for receiving of supplies and materials and inventory control.
  • Assesses the need for capital equipment; conducts cost benefit analysis of capital equipment and makes recommendations for the acquisition of capital equipment.
  • Assures the security of the facility, equipment and grounds.
  • Assures that all preventive and repair maintenance is conducted on building, equipment and grounds.
  • Monitors production and makes adjustments as needed to meet delivery schedules.
  • Establish testing systems for assuring quality of the product and for compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Participates actively in industry associations to promote Premium Waters, lnc.
  • Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP & SQF requirements for food quality and Safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10 years manufacturing experience and strong maintenance/injection background.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience with a beverage, food or liquid consumer products manufacturer.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Must be experienced with GMP’s, sanitation standards and FDA/SQF requirements.
  • Knowledge of several lines of equipment, e.g., debagging tray packaging systems, fillers, labelers, depalletizers, palletizers and conveyors. Experience with Krones a plus.
  • 5 years of managing groups of teams to establish and achieve production, safety, quality objectives, and continuous improvement in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours on multiple shifts.
  • Previous supervisory experience, strong facilitation, organizational, communication (oral and written) and computer skills. Previous plant start up or turnaround experience preferred
