Job Description: As a Stock/Warehouse Associate at Global Partners, you will be responsible for handling inventory management, organizing warehouse operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. Your role will involve receiving, stocking, and preparing products for distribution, as well as maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Accurately record inventory data and update stock levels in the inventory management system.
- Organize and store products in the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and arrangement for easy retrieval.
Warehouse Operations:
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, handling products with care to prevent damage.
Operational Support:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools.
- Support other departments with inventory-related tasks and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to meet warehouse goals and support smooth store and distribution operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about warehouse procedures and company updates.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and ensure a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stock management role is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and handling products.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, and handle physical tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to contributing to team success and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in warehouse management or related fields are a plus.
