Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of relevant experience managing and supervising construction projects related to commercial properties, warehouses, offices, and more. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  1. Site Management:
  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for assigned projects.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction tools and equipment.
  1. Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for site personnel.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on site.
  1. Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Provide regular updates to project managers and clients on project status.
  • Address any client concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  1. Problem Solving:
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Implement effective solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Proactively manage potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial properties, warehouses, offices, and similar projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
