We are looking for a Field Supervisor to join our Fire Alarm Service and Install team

Hourly pay range: $50-55/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.

Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This position is part of a rotational on call schedule.

As the Field Supervisor, you will:

  • Complete all responsibilities as a Fire Alarm Service and Install Technician
  • Collaborate with the Fire Service Deficiency Estimator to ensure correct materials, permits, and labor are estimated for sales proposals.
  • Identify projects requiring permits or engineering and transition them to the projects team.
  • Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy upon receipt of a service job.
  • Conduct bi-weekly reviews of material arrivals with the warehouse to aid in scheduling.
  • Execute or supervise the execution of projects while mentoring field staff during performance.
  • Attend monthly tech meetings to share best practices for improved documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers, the Sales Team, and/or the Operations Manager to identify out-of-scope tasks, presenting change order opportunities to sales and obtaining acceptance before performing the work.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards and quality service techniques, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Support the achievement of Broadly 9, 10, and Google 5-star reviews by aiding in successful project execution.
  • Work with the Service Coordinator to validate labor, material, and permit status before site visits.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of demonstrated ability to lead a field team, motivate and direct personnel toward achievement of a common goal.
  • 2+ years of field experience as a fire alarm service technician or journeyman low voltage electrician
  • EL-06 (Limited Energy Technician) Electrical License
  • NICET II certification in Fire Alarm Systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of NFPA Standards (including 70 and 72) Servicing Guidelines and local AHJ requirements (preferred)
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
  • Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Working Conditions:

  • May work near moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather conditions
  • Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Occasional exposure to working in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • The noise level is generally moderate.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent ladder climbing, often while carrying up to 50 pounds
