Role: Logistics and Project Coordination Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC

Type: Contract to Hire


Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Logistics and Project Coordination Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role combines elements of logistics coordination, project estimating, and project coordination to ensure seamless operations and successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

Estimating and Pricing Analysis:

  • Prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual estimates, and detailed estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.
    • Conduct research on prior estimating data to develop guidelines and precedents for future estimates.
    • Collaborate with subcontractors to explore Value Engineering options and drive competitive buyouts.
    • Utilize material unit costs and square foot costs to build comprehensive estimates.
    • Assist in creating proposals for rentals, catering services, and complex RFPs for contracts.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to procure assets and equipment for bids and projects.
    • Coordinate with project managers to ensure project-specific requirements are met and timelines are streamlined.
    • Utilize Procore software elements to ensure proper job outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination, project estimating, and/or project coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
