Job Description

Salary Range: $132,500 to $156,000 per year

Purpose of the Position: The position reports to the Vice-President of Chicken Live Production and works closely with North Grow Out and Ag Services. The position is responsible for the management of all aspects of growing an average of 110 million chickens to meet the annual production standards and goals. 

  • Manage and direct facility Superintendents/Supervisors/ Ranch Managers, direct operations, production and staffing capabilities for optimum performance and quality meeting all internal and external customer requirements. Provide direction to operations management subordinates. 
  • Prepare, review reports and comply with all safety and government requirements. 
  • Evaluate processes and products to determine improvements. 
  • Ensure that facilities are ran in a safe fashion, employees are aware of safety requirements and machinery is in good repare. 
  • Preparation and approval of budgets and product cost development. 
  • Plan for new products, businesses and/or technologies. 
  • Establish/monitor goals, objectives and capital projects for operations.
Qualifications

  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Business/Agriculture. 
  • 5+ year minimum Grow Out Experience.
  • Must have basic understanding of agriculture trucking, farming and processing. 
  • Ability to assimilate and understand technical data. 
  • Good interpersonal skillls, must be perceptive and resourceful. 
  • Must have chicken house ventilation knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of growing programs on different style chicken housing.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and act to correct or adjust to changes. 
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
