We are currently looking for an A player to join our company as a co-owner serving as a Warehouse/Delivery Associate for the Syracuse branch. Here is the job description:

Job purpose:

The Warehouse and Delivery Associate is responsible for coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, and inventory of our HVAC/R products and equipment, and making local deliveries.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Attendance and able to work all scheduled shifts with occasional unplanned absences only
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines
  • Complete mandatory in service and online training in our Learning Management System
  • Enhance the Meier Supply work environment and culture with strict adherence to modeling our core values
  • Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs

WAREHOUSE SPECIFIC:

  • Maintains and cleans warehouse facility to ensure it is orderly, clean, and safe condition.
  • Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
  • Receives stock and non-stock items taking care to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct while inspecting items for damage.
  • Participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
  • Loads delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
  • Unloads items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.

· DRIVER SPECIFIC:

  • Makes local deliveries of customer orders.
  • Loads delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
  • Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.

Pay rate

Starting at $18/hr plus bonus

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a MUST for this position
  • 1 or more years of warehouse and delivery experience
  • Medical DOT is a plus, but not required
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail and customer focus
  • Excellent attendance and strong worth ethic
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and DMV record check
