the largest US manufacturer of roller coasters and thrill rides, is seeking a full-time Procurement Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Purchasing Department.


Procurement Assistant


Job Summary: The Procurement Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the Purchasing Team. These duties include communication to vendors and other organizations within S&S. Communication regarding order updates, request for technical information, quoting, late orders, pricing updates, locating shipments, pricing corrections, clarifications, and follow-up as needed will need to be effective and timely. This position requires a high level of self-motivation and the ability to seek out and find issues that need addressed within the supply chain. This role will require high levels of collaboration and networking to manage the complexity and volume of purchased goods.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors including in-person visits
  • Create and modify purchase orders as needed
  • Daily follow-up of purchase order status and escalation as needed
  • Past due and issue resolution with internal departments
  • Track and report vendor deficiencies
  • Provide all needed reports for meetings, purchasers, and Project Managers
  • Identify and track items through the manufacturing process
  • Create and distribute drawing and information packets
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school degree preferred; Associate's degree or relevant experience a plus
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and web based ERP systems preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in high stress situations
  • Familiarity with procurement or purchasing processes a plus
