Description:
As a Creative Sculpt/Sketch Technician, you'll be at the forefront of transforming ideas into tangible mascots. Your role involves sketching, sculpting, and meticulously crafting headpieces, ensuring they meet both artistic vision and functional requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate closely with Sales to advise on optimal mascot design solutions.
- Create precise sketches and ABS heads, facilitating efficient mascot construction.
- Translate customer concepts into detailed 3D sculptures and tooling plans.
- Operate and maintain equipment like vacuum formers to produce high-quality ABS heads on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace to enhance departmental productivity.
- Share expertise across the team to foster continuous improvement.
Key Challenges:
- Balancing artistic creativity with technical precision in mascot creation.
- Adapting 2D concepts into functional 3D designs that meet customer expectations.
- Engineering practical aspects of mascots alongside production timelines.
- Managing physical demands associated with tooling and vacuum forming processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or advanced art degree; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D sculpting software (e.g., ZBrush).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Minimal travel requirement (less than 5%).
- Physical ability to stand, sit, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle ambiguity effectively.
