Job Title: Welder

Job Summary: Intelligen Ashlor Staffing seeking torecruit a welder to join our Fabrication Team. This position will be responsible for welding steeland tubing and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques, under thedirection of the Shop Foreman.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preform welding activities with minimum instructions and supervision • Ability to judge the type and gauge of steel to be welded, making proper heatadjustments as required.

• Subject completed welding tasks to appropriate inspections.

• Utilize material handling equipment in conjunction with welding tasks. • Maintain required production records for jigs, fixtures and machines.

• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.

• Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.

• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.

• Other duties as required.

• Welds components in flat vertical or overhead positions.

• Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strikes arcs by touching electrodes to metalsbeing welded, completing electrical circuits.

• Clamps, holds, tack-welds, heat-bends, grinds or bolts component parts to obtainrequired configurations and positions for welding.

• Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, usingprocesses such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc and flux-cored arc, plasma arc andshielded metal arc, resistance welding and submerged arc welding.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Welding all types of steels and alloys

• Heavy plate welding 1/4” to 12” thick personal hand tools required

Qualifications: Knowledge - HS diploma or equivalent. Ability to use hand-welding or flame cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations or seams offabricated metal products.
