Currently offering a $5000 sign on bonus Hourly rates starting at $18.27 with additional $1.50 per hour for afternoon shift, $1.00 per hour for midnight shift, and $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts.


It is the youth counselor's primary responsibility to provide day-to-day supervision, care, and guidance to residents assigned to their unit. Counselors provide a safe and healthy treatment milieu designed to meet the emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual needs of the residents. The counselor provides a positive role model for the residents to emulate and is responsible for teaching a variety of communications, coping, problem solving, and social skills.


Winnie's Sisu House (Bemidji Location)


Winnie Sisu is a therapeutic transitional living home, providing support to adolescent girls who have been sexually exploited and/or trafficked. Programming is structured to help support and develop the attitude, self-concept, and skills needed for self-sufficiency and independent living. Using a client-centered approach and trauma-informed care model, residents receive services tailored to their individual needs and treatment goals. Winnie Sisu is open to adolescent girls 16-21 years of age.


Hawkins Home - Girls Transitional Programming (Bemidji Location)


Hawkins Home is a transitional living program for young woman aged 16-21 years old. Hawkins Home offers a supportive and structured living environment with a focus on building the skills and competencies necessary for a successful transition into young adulthood. Programming is individualized and based upon client-identified goals and areas of need.

Requirements:

Candidates must be responsible, mature, self-motivated individuals who posses a desire to work with at-risk youth, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to set firm limits.


Qualifications: must be 21 years of age, have a valid Minnesota driver's license, and have a high-school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education in the Human Service / Law Enforcement fields or equivalent experience is desirable but not mandatory.
