We are currently looking for a Quality Technician to join our team full-time to support our variety of customers. - Audit and monitor quality requirements on a line in accordance with the company quality assurance policies.
- Conduct inspections: in-process, in-coming, final inspections, and dock audits on occasion.
- Initiate non-conformance reports as required.
- Document and report inspection findings and results; and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
- Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per inspection plans and specification requirements.
- Read and interpret specifications and part visual inspection sheets.
- Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.
- Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; logs the assembly non-conformities and communicates information to production department.
- Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products.
- Ensure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, and ensures readability of labels.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with all safety, quality, and production work rules and regulations.
- Good attendance.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and associated software.
- Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, height gages are an added plus.
- Previous experience performing Quality Audits / Inspections preferred.
- Familiar with NWA statistical software a plus.
- Good understanding of problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis and PDCA investigation.
- User of Six Sigma, SPC and Lean Continuous Improvement preferred.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and be able to work 12 hours when necessary.
